All of us here at The City of St. Jude sincerely thank you for your continued support!
On any given day, our staff and volunteers are busy making life a little better for the many people that come to us for help. One such person is Tamitha, who regularly visits our Social Services. Tamitha has struggled her whole life. Although she never really had a stable home herself, she has managed to steer clear of trouble and keep her head above water. She has 3 kids, and her ultimate goal is to make their lives better.
Though she comes to us for help, she spends a good bit of her time helping others. She doesn’t have much to give, so she goes around finding other mothers who are struggling and either brings them to us, or gives them information on where they can find help. Because Tamitha has been in many of the same situations they are in, she can easily spot them and point them in the right direction. She even offers to babysit their children while they seek help.
Our own Sister Barbara Ann works with Tamitha and those other mothers like her, giving them the necessary tools to help make life better for themselves and their children. “I’m like a grandmother to them,” said Sister Barbara Ann.
May 14th is Mother’s Day, and we celebrate the Tamithas and Sister Barbara Anns of the world—the ones affectionately known as Mother, Mom, Momma or Dear.
Our mission is simple…to help Tamitha and others like her live a better life. You are the fuel that drives our operation. Through your continued support, St. Jude is able to give hope and care to those in the most dire situations. Once again we are asking for your support.
If you’ve ever experienced the joy and fortune of a loving mother, what better way to honor both her and God by providing a piece of that love to someone who desperately needs it? A donation to The City of St. Jude will do just that. Please help us fulfill this mission by enclosing a donation. All donations will be used for the mission of The City of St. Jude.
There is a reciprocal value to giving…God blesses us as we bless others. He will never forget your kindness to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you for your continued support and may God continue to bless you and your loved ones.
Happy Mother’s Day!
